I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Christmas is just around the corner. If you’re like me, I usually do my shopping at the last minute and scramble to find the perfect gift for my loved ones and friends. I’m here to make sure that doesn’t happen! I’ve taken six luxury watches that would be perfect for the collector or enthusiast in your life! Let’s get started!
Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36
This list should start strong and with an absolute classic. While the Rolex Oyster Perpetual is an entry-level model in the Rolex catalogue, it’s a gorgeous watch that can be worn casually or formally and looks great on the wrist of men and women– a perfect his or hers!
Omega Constellation Manhattan 29mm Master Chronometer
The Omega Constellation is a stunning part of the Omega catalogue, and the Manhattan variations are no exception. The Manhattan series was initially introduced in 1982, and subtle changes have been made to the overall design year after year. An iconic design powered by the Omega’s self-winding calibre 8700.
Breitling Transocean Day & Date
The Transocean is a gorgeous, sector dial dress watch with a day and date complication. Inspired by the 1958 Transocean, the modern version features a round 43mm stainless steel case. The Breitling Transocean Day & Date is an excellent choice for those looking for something dressy and different, especially if you enjoy an oversized watch.
Tudor Heritage Black Bay
I think the Tudor Black Bay should be in every collection. The Black Bay is a fantastic dive watch with gorgeous aesthetics and various colour variations, but none as classic as the standard black bezel and dial.
Omega Speedmaster Reduced Ladies
The Omega Speedmaster is one of the most iconic watches of all time. With its connection to NASA and motorsport, the Speedmaster is a legend in its own right. The Omega Speedmaster Reduced Ladies is an excellent combination of elegance and a unique take on an iconic design.
But wait, there’s more! The budget-friendly choices. There’s no way I could list what to buy for the holidays without discussing some budget-friendly, bang-for-your-buck options. I don’t need to explain, so let’s dive in!
Timex Q and Timex Q GMT
Over the last couple of years, Timex has been digging through its archive, and re-releasing watches lost to time. The best example is the Timex Q line of watches. The Timex Q is a 70s-styled skin diver pulled from a time capsule. In the last year, Timex has released a Timex Q GMT model that is just as gorgeous and will put a smile on your face.
Casio G-Shock DW-6900
The Casio G-Shock DW-6900 is an icon in wristwatch design. While yes, it might be a digital watch, they’re so much fun to wear and own. Rugged, reliable and look cool, the DW-6900 is a super affordable watch that any collector can enjoy at any level.
Tissot PRX 35mm
The PRX is a personal favourite of mine. With the reissue of the PRX released a couple of years ago, Tissot heard the cries of their customers and fans to release a smaller form factor of the PRX from 40mm. Tissot responded with the 35mm PRX, and it’s been a success. The Tissot PRX 35mm watch was marketed and targeted toward women, but this is unisex sizing and can be worn by both men and women.
Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster Diver
The Promaster Diver is a watch I own and love. While it is a more oversized watch at 44mm, the rubber strap paired with the thin case allows it to sit comfortably on the wrist. Available in many colour variations, the Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster Diver is a fantastic, affordable dive watch.
Seiko Presage Cocktail Time Ladies SRPF54
The Seiko Presage line is an excellent example of high-end finishing without the high-end price tag. Featuring a stainless steel case with a stainless steel/rose gold bracelet, the aesthetics create a feeling of elegance with a bit of flash. The beautiful salmon dial and rose gold indices contrast very well with the case and bracelet, adding to the “fanciness” of the Seiko Presage Cocktail Time watch.
